Macall is a PhD student in Ecology with Dr. Donatella Zona. Her research focuses on the controls of carbon transport and emissions in Arctic streams. After working for a few years as a chemical engineer, Macall sought out graduate school to have a more direct environmental impact with her career by pursuing research. She plans to spend her career researching the effects of climate change in the vulnerable and rapidly changing Arctic.
