Kristine is a current undergraduate student majoring in Biology (Ecology) and is dedicated to researching fluxes within chaparral ecosystems. Her primary focus centers on investigating how fire, drought, and elevated nitrogen deposition affect nitrogen fluxes within chaparral and coastal sage scrub environments. Following her graduation, Kristine aspires to pursue graduate studies that explore the connection between plant physiology and ecosystem processes, with the ultimate goal of contributing to climate change mitigation efforts.
