Francia Tenorio

Francia is a NOAA EPP/MSI Earth System Sciences and Remote Sensing Scholar, Cohort 1. She is a graduate student at GCRG, working closely with many brilliant individuals across disciplines at SDSU and UC Davis. The emphasis of her research revolves around chamber flux measurements of greenhouse gases, particularly nitrous oxide fluxes in Arctic micro-topography. She is also interested in remote sensing techniques, emphasizing field spectroscopy and multi-scale spectral measurements to upscale flux studies and understand ecological change and biogeochemical cycles at the landscape scale. Francia has a background in Geology and GIS (University of Florida, B.A., 2020). Ultimately, she is passionate about understanding climate change, identifying feedback loops, and protecting ecosystems. If any of these topics interest you or you would like to exchange ideas, Francia would love to connect and can be contacted at ftenorio2833@sdsu.edu.
