Kyle Lunneberg, PhD (Postdoc)

Kyle is a post-doctoral fellow focused on carbon exchange modeling and community-centered science across multiple ecosystems. He initiated his research as a land-manager of intertidal and coastal sage scrub habitats (USFW) as part of his B.Sc. from CSU San Marcos in 2019. He completed  his Ph.D. in 2023 with the UCD and SDSU Joint-Doctoral Program. Some project highlights include: Stakeholder-focused solutions to chaparral wildfire risk assessment (USGC CASC network), Southern California’s regional profile for policymakers (Science Advisory Panel to California’s Wildfire Resilience Task Force), and involvement with the Center for Ecosystem Climate Solutions.
